Palestinian delegation travels to Cairo to review Gaza reconstruction plan

A delegation of Palestinian ministers headed by the Deputy Prime Minister left for the Egyptian capital Cairo to investigate the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Cabinet, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Ziad Abu Amr, left for Cairo on Sunday to meet with Egyptian officials to discuss the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

The delegation includes Khalid al-Assili, Minister of Economy, Mohammad Ziyarat, Minister of Employment and Housing, Riyad al-Attari, Minister of Agriculture, Majdi al-Saleh, Minister of Local Government, Ayman Qandil, Deputy Minister of Urban Affairs, and Astifan Salameh, Advisor to the Office.

According to the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa), the delegation is scheduled to meet with Egyptian officials to discuss the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

The Zionist regime killed 290 people, including 69 children, 40 women and 17 elderly people, in the 12-day war against Gaza, and wounded more than 8,900 people, as well as destroying several towers and residential buildings.

Earlier, Israeli War Minister Bani Gantz said that the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip was conditional on the return of the bodies of Israeli soldiers and a long-term ceasefire.

In response to Gantz’s remarks, Musa Abu Marzouq stressed that “there is no point in putting pressure on the Israeli prisoners of war, and Hamas’ position remains the same, and those prisoners are against the prisoners.”

He stressed that the issue of Palestinian prisoners is a priority for Hamas leaders.

Hamas has captured four Israelis since the summer of 2014, two of them soldiers who fought in the Gaza war and two others who entered Gaza illegally.
