Pak Sahafat – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman said: We in Oman are optimistic that the historic visit of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Saeed will have a good impact on the stability and security of the region and regional neighborly relations, and we will try to crystallize its results.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report, Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman, stated in an interview with Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper on the eve of the Sultan of Oman’s arrival in Tehran: The two-day visit of Sultan “Haitham bin Tariq” to the Islamic Republic of Iran is due to the importance that the leaders of the two countries attach to the cooperative relations between them, and it is done to continue consultation and constructive cooperation on various issues related to the regional and international arenas.
He added: It is known that Oman and Iran are bound by historical neighborly relations based on the fixed principles of trust and mutual respect.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman stated: The time of this trip is in the midst of a new and positive phase for regional relations, which requires support, consultation and cooperation to solve many cases and current issues, which will undoubtedly be the focus of the dialogue between the leaders of the two countries; in a way that serves to strengthen the pillars of security and stability.
Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi said that the Sultan of Oman’s visit to Tehran shows his great interest in the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and the people of Oman and Iran.
Oman’s official news agency announced that Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Saeed, the Sultan of this country, left Muscat for Tehran on an official two-day trip this evening.
The Royal Court of Oman recently announced in a statement that Haitham bin Tariq Al Saeed, the Sultan of this country, will travel to Tehran on Sunday for two days in order to strengthen the bonds of friendship and to strengthen the fruitful and good neighborly relations between this country and Iran and in response to the invitation of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi.
It is stated in this statement: This trip will be carried out in the framework of continuous consultations and coordination between the leaders of the two countries to discuss various developments in the regional and international arenas and promote everything that improves the existing aspects of cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
This trip will take place a few days after the visit of the Sultan of Oman to Egypt and his meeting with the President of the Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Sisi. During his trip to Egypt, the Sultan of Oman met with the president of this country and discussed bilateral relations and regional issues.
