Kuwait called on the United Nations to activate the “Israeli” response mechanism

Kuwait called on the United Nations to activate legal mechanisms to ensure the accountability of the Israeli occupation forces and not to hold them accountable for their continuing violations of the rights of the Palestinian people.

The remarks were made during a speech by Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva.

According to the official KUNA news agency, Ambassador Al-Ghanim said: The Kuwaiti government condemns the blatant violation of international human rights law by Israel against the defenseless people of Palestine and calls on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities to ensure compliance with the principles and rules of international human rights law and Undertake international humanitarian law, which should apply to the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem.

The ambassador of Kuwait, referring to the serious violations committed by the occupying power against the Palestinian people, “many of which are war crimes and crimes against humanity, called for continued discussion on the deteriorating human rights situation in the occupiers of the Arab lands, within the framework of Chapter 7 of the order.” “It’s the job of the Human Rights Council.”

The Kuwaiti government regretted that “the international community is indifferent to Israel’s violation of international law and UN resolutions, and called for measures to prevent the continuation of the regime’s crimes against Palestinian civilians and unarmed.”
