A group of Jordanian students and faculty members have expressed opposition to holding a seminar at the UAE’s Mohammed bin Zayed University in the country, saying in a statement that they oppose the promotion of betrayal as an approach.
A group of students and faculty members of the University of Jordan left the seminar held at the Faculty of Information Technology of King Abdullah II University due to the presence of representatives from the Mohammed bin Zayed University of Artificial Emirates to offer scholarships to students. The withdrawal came after Jordanian students learned of the UAE university’s cooperation with the Zionist regime’s university in occupied Jerusalem and the Israeli Weizmann Institute.
Jordanian University student associations issued a statement expressing opposition to the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime: “We, the student groups, express our strong opposition to the hosting of the university administration by representatives of Mohammed bin Zayed University, which has normalized its relations with the Israeli occupiers.”

In their statement, they called the recruitment of students from such universities an act contrary to the Jordanian student, popular and Islamic stance on the issue of normalization with the Zionist regime, and praised the students and professors who left the seminar: “This move shows the connection of the Jordanian people to the Islamic sanctities and the issue of Palestine and the non-recognition of the Zionist regime in any way.” They also called on the university administration to take responsibility for the hosting, reprimand the perpetrators, formally apologize to the students, and refrain from cooperating in direct or indirect support for the normalization issue.
The Head of Student Affairs of the University of Jordan also stated: “We express our opposition to what happened in the seminar held at Ayati College due to the normalization with the Zionist regime. We are proud of the position of our students who immediately left the seminar and emphasize our strong opposition to all forms of normalization. » Al-Hashimiya University in Jordan, on the other hand, canceled the visit of a delegation from the UAE University, which was scheduled to take place yesterday, following the actions of the student groups and their demands.
