Illegal entry of Zionist settlers into Al-Aqsa Mosque

Dozens of Zionist settlers entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque area again this morning (Sunday) with the support of the Zionist military.

Just two days after the announcement of a ceasefire between the Zionist regime and the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip, this morning a number of Zionist settlers entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque illegally with the support of the regime’s military.

Al-Jazeera‘s correspondent reported that the settlers entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the Israeli occupying forces.

An hour after the news broke, some media sources reported that Zionist militants also arrested four employees of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and that about 50 Zionist settlers entered the mosque illegally today.

Last night, Israeli forces clashed with Palestinians who had gathered in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of Jerusalem.

According to Palestinian media reports, the occupying forces tried to disperse the Palestinians with the help of tear gas and water cannons. The Palestinian Red Crescent also reported that a number of Palestinians were injured in the clashes.

Meanwhile, the spark of the recent 12-day war in the Gaza Strip was ignited by the same provocative actions of the Zionists in Al-Aqsa Mosque and different areas of Jerusalem and the imposition of various restrictions on Palestinian worshipers during the holy month of Ramadan.

On the morning of May 10, the 28th day of the holy month of Ramadan, the Zionist army attacked various scenes in Al-Aqsa Mosque, turning it into a battlefield and besieging it, using sound bombs, tear gas, plastic bullets and even Metal targeted worshipers and sit-in protesters at the shrine.

In addition, in various parts of the West Bank, Zionist militias and settlers clashed with Palestinians who had taken to the streets to protest the Zionist regime’s plans to Judaize Jerusalem and Zionist provocations, including the seizure of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and the expulsion of Palestinians.

In response to these crimes, Palestinian resistance forces intervened. The occupied territories, including Quds, Asqalan, Tel Aviv and the Zionist settlements around the Gaza Strip, have witnessed widespread rocket attacks since the same day, following warnings from Palestinian resistance groups.

The Zionist army also called in a number of its reserve forces and began indiscriminate bombardment of various areas of the Gaza Strip, which was met with a strong response from the resistance, and a flood of resistance missiles was fired at Tel Aviv, Bangorion Airport and Beralsba.

Clashes between the Palestinian resistance and the Zionist regime began on Monday (May 10 – May 10) and after the end of the resistance to Tel Aviv over the need for an end to the regime’s aggression in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and continued until the morning of Friday.
