American official: Yemen is the priority of the Biden government / Ansarullah should talk

Pak Sahafat – The US special envoy for Yemeni affairs claimed: Yemen is still the priority of the Biden government and he asked the Houthis (Ansarullah) to talk with the internationally recognized government of Yemen about a path towards the end of the multi-year war.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, Tim Landerking, the US special envoy for Yemen affairs, said on Wednesday local time that Washington is optimistic about further progress towards peace, but crucial decisions are up to the conflicting parties.

Landerking has made more than 30 trips to West Asia (Middle East) since he was appointed more than two years ago.

He said: Yemenis should have difficult conversations with each other. We know that a solution to this war will only be sustainable if it includes all perspectives and addresses the concerns of a wide range of Yemenis.

This official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Biden government added: This is why we and others in the international community ask the Houthis to use this unprecedented opportunity to talk with the government of the Republic of Yemen to chart a brighter future for this country.

The US special envoy for Yemeni affairs had previously claimed in talks with the Saudi Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath networks: We are trying to find a formula for a permanent end to the war in Yemen.

Stating that the current time is the time for dialogue, he added: The international community should support Yemeni-Yemeni dialogues and the countries of the region should play a more effective role in ending the Yemeni crisis.

Meanwhile, a member of the political office of Yemen’s Ansarullah Movement announced on August 4 that the negotiations to resolve the war in this country have reached an impasse and that Sana’a is ready for any emergency situation.

Muhammad Ali al-Houthi, a member of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, said in an interview with Al-Mayadin network: Today, there is no ceasefire, but a reduction in tension and the opportunity for mediation has been provided by us. We are still talking about humanitarian issues before anything else.

He said: There is no justification for continuing the blockade and we welcome any role for any Arab country in solving the crisis, but we want to talk with the aggressor countries and not their mercenaries.

Al-Houthi continued: Today’s negotiations have reached a dead end and we are ready for any emergency.

This American official’s claim is that the United States of America has been supporting Arab coalition member countries in various fields for more than 8 years, especially in the field of arms sales.
