Al-Houthi: Our demands are not out of the ordinary/we are looking for a complete end to the war

Pak Sahafat – A member of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen, emphasizing that our demands from Saudi Arabia are not out of the ordinary, said that we only want to open the airspace, lift the embargo and pay the salaries.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report on Saturday, “Mohammed Ali al-Houthi” emphasized in an interview with CNN that the Ansarullah movement is not looking for a ceasefire and a monopoly of power in Yemen, but instead is looking for a complete stop to the war in Yemen.

He added: Ansarullah’s demands from Saudi Arabia and the aggressor coalition are not unusual or excessive.

A member of the political office of the Yemeni Ansarullah Movement continued: We want the opening of the airspace, the lifting of sanctions and the resumption of commercial activities. These are not demands, but our rights.

Al-Houthi added regarding the absence of the international side and other parties in the negotiations: This issue was done in order to get out of the complications, especially because Saudi Arabia knows what it wants from the Yemeni nation and why it is fighting with it, and the other parties are only allies and are not decision makers in this matter.

Regarding the transitional phase of Yemen, if an agreement is reached, he also said: We did not talk about these political matters until this moment, but we raised the general issues through a comprehensive solution. Our first request is to end the punishment of the Yemeni nation by lifting the embargo and paying salaries and other human affairs.

Al-Houthi: Saudi Arabia and the UAE should think about the interests of their nation instead of America

He said: Ansarullah believes that the Yemeni nation should make independent decisions and this movement can contribute to the power and wealth of the entire Yemeni nation.

According to this report, the plane carrying the second group of Yemeni prisoners arrived at Sana’a International Airport, the capital of Yemen, from Saudi Arabia’s Abha Airport today (Saturday).

The first plane carrying 125 prisoners of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement had arrived at Sana’a airport, and Abdul Qadir al-Mortaza, the head of the Committee on Prisoners Affairs of the National Salvation Government of Yemen, said that the effort to exchange all the prisoners is continuing.

The UN Secretary General’s special representative in Yemen welcomed the exchange of prisoners of war between the Government of National Salvation of Yemen and Saudi Arabia on Friday and called for a political solution to the war in Yemen.

With the speeding up of the peace negotiations between the Saudi envoys and the National Salvation Government of Yemen, the release and exchange of hundreds of prisoners has started by both sides, which can be a significant measure to build trust between the parties.

The parties agreed in talks in Switzerland last month to release 887 prisoners and meet again in May to discuss the release of more prisoners.
