Abuse of children by the Al-Nusra Front terrorist group in Syria

Pak Sahafat – Syria’s Al-Watan newspaper reported: Taking advantage of the poverty and miserable living conditions of families in Syrian refugee camps, militia groups led by the Al-Nusra Front terrorist group have recruited children in Idlib, Syria, to force them to fight alongside them with low wages.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, from Syria’s Al-Watan newspaper news base; armed terrorist organizations, led by Jabhat al-Nusra, continue to easily capture children who live in weak families and reside in Idlib camps in order to use them to fight in their ranks with low salaries, using the difficult social conditions.

This is despite the fact that during the past few days, the forces of the Syrian army and Russian fighters targeted the headquarters of the Al-Nusra terrorist front in “Jabal al-Zawiyah” located in the south of Idlib.

A high-ranking field source announced that Russian reconnaissance planes observed the movements of the terrorist front “Al-Nusra” and “Haras al-Din” in the axis of Jabal al-Zawiyah in the south of Idlib and in the areas of Flifel and Sufohan.

He said that field investigations showed that these terrorist groups were preparing to carry out operations against Syrian army bases and villages and areas in this country by means of drones.

Poverty, high cost and decrease in the level of education of thousands of children and teenagers as a result of the presence of terrorist groups

The news sites supporting the Syrian opposition claim that the conditions of poverty, high cost and reduced level of education forced thousands of children in the areas under the control of Al-Nusra organization in Idlib province to join the ranks of this organization and other armed forces. These organizations and militias work in the livelihood of these families and help them to pay for themselves and their families who live in that area.

According to this claim, seeing children in battles and on the front line has become a normal scene after more than 11 years of the war crisis in Syria, especially since the majorities of these children belong to poor environments or live in difficult social conditions. The low standard of living of these children’s families makes them an easy prey for terrorist organizations and armed militias, considering these facts and the bitter reality they live in, who ask them to fight on the front lines in exchange for low salaries.

Nevertheless, Maryam does not hide her fear of the dangers of war for her son, but according to the sites, she is used to it.

Not yet fourteen years old, Jad al-Kermo did not hesitate to join terrorist organizations after he could not find a job to help his diabetic father, mother, and brothers, who all live in Idlib.

According to this news site, this teenager pointed out that the Syrian refugee camps were in very poor conditions in terms of facilities and said: None of the workshop employers agreed to hire me, so I joined the Tahrir al-Sham militia to support my family with a monthly salary.

According to these news sites, children and teenagers who were attracted to these terrorist groups were not spared from the consequences of war and battle, and many of them were victims or injured, and the injured returned to their homes in the camps with physical and mental disability.
