The commander of Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades has strongly warned the Zionists about any bites on the residents of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem, which has terrified the Zionists.
Abdul Bari Atwan, a well-known analyst in the Arab world, in an article referring to the stern warning of Al-Lahan Mohammad Al-Daif, commander of Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas’s military branch, to the Zionists about any harm to the residents of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem: This threat has caused terror among the Zionist settlers because this man and his comrades are doing what they say. This stance must have been taken after all the necessary preparations to stop the carnage and Israeli aggression against the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
He recalls the actions taken by Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades following the martyrdom of Yahya Ayash in January 1996, and carried out four martyrdom operations in al-Khudira, occupied Jerusalem, and the heart of Tel Aviv, in which a large number of Zionists were killed and wounded: I remember that after the martyrdom of Yahya Ayash, I had a meeting with Mohammad Nazal (Abu al-Bara), a member of the Hamas political bureau, and I asked him why you set this number of goals and do not give the possibility of inability to do or other factors? The analyst writes: We are talking about men who have developed missiles and have a very advanced security and military system and a large number of martyrs who work in complete secrecy.
He went on to point out five main events that pave the way for important and strategic developments in the near future: 5 main changes may be the prelude to changing or destroying all current political and military equations in the Occupied Territories in the coming days and weeks;
- First, the threat of Mohammed al-Daif directly and openly against the Israeli occupiers, for the first time in years. This means that the military wing of Hamas has entered the field
- Second, the failure of the Palestinian political structure and the postponement of the Legislative Assembly elections, which is a sign of this failure, and the submission to the Israeli dictates that caused the Palestinian fighters to come to the fore, especially after their patience ran out and Israel insulted the Palestinians.
- Third, the resilience of the people of Al-Quds and their intifada against the occupiers, and the confrontation of the residents of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood with the Israeli carnage, with complete and unprecedented courage and bravery.
- Fourth, the anti-Zionist operation in Zaratara in the West Bank and the alignment of the security forces of the Palestinian Authority with the Zionist military to find and arrest the perpetrators of this anti-Zionist attack.
- Fifth, increase the influence of the resistance axis and the arrival of the Syrian missile near Dimona, where the Dimona nuclear power plant was located, and the acceptance of the Biden government on Iran’s terms in the nuclear talks in Vienna, the cessation of Israeli tanker war and their acknowledgment of defeat.
The third intifada is on its way
He writes: There are many similarities between the current situation and the second intifada, called the Al-Aqsa Intifada, during which the then Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, Ariel Sharon, lit a fire of anger by entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Atwan pointed out that Quds played a key role in the emergence of the second intifada and the third intifada will occur due to Quds, and pointed out the huge difference between the current situation and that time: Israel suffers from complex internal and external crises in the current situation.
It is worth mentioning that Mohammad Al-Daif, the commander of Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, said yesterday: The commanders of the resistance and the Qassam Brigades are closely following the events in Quds and the neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah. If the aggression against this neighborhood and its inhabitants is not stopped, the resistance will not remain closed and the enemy will pay a heavy price.
