The role of the Saudi Crown Prince in the attack on Kabul Airport

The Saudi opposition has announced the support of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the ISIS terrorist group in the attack on Kabul airport.

A Saudi opposition source has reported that sources close to the Saudi government in bin Salman’s offices and ministries have confirmed the Saudi Crown Prince’s support for the ISIS terrorist group in the attack on Kabul airport, Tasnim news agency reported.

Sources in the Afghan Ministry of Health said the death toll from the attack on Kabul airport on Thursday night (September 25) when a suicide bomber blew himself up was 170. The number of injured in this attack is 150.

The Pentagon has also confirmed the deaths of 13 Iranian soldiers in the attacks. The latest casualty figures for the US military are 18.

According to the Saudi opposition, Mohammed bin Salman wanted to use the attack to achieve three goals, the first of which was to confront US President Joe Biden, as the Democratic government refused to accept him and his deputy, Prince Khalid, in the Department of Defense.

According to him, the second goal is for the Saudi Crown Prince to portray the Taliban as a helpless movement, because, as he puts it, it cannot provide security for the citizens of Afghanistan.

He described the Saudi Crown Prince’s third goal as Riyadh’s attempt to show the world that Afghanistan under Taliban rule would become a “hotbed of terrorism”.
