Baghdad meeting and Iraq priorities

According to the international group Pak Sahafat:  Last Saturday, Baghdad hosted a summit of Iraq’s neighbors and some other countries to review the country’s priorities in light of current developments in the region.

The Baghdad meeting took place as Iraq prepares for the upcoming parliamentary elections, and Iraqis have achieved remarkable results in fighting ISIL takfiris and terrorist groups trying to undermine the country’s political process.

It is clear that Iraq is working to develop areas of cooperation with neighboring countries and the Arab League and the international community in order to achieve common ground in order to serve its future and the future of the countries of the region and the world.

Accordingly, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi said at the opening of the meeting that the meeting will be held in a sensitive and historic context, and that this reflects Iraq’s view on the dominance of the spoken language.
