One passenger tweeted that after two hours of waiting to board the plane, he was still waiting on the runway and other passengers were desperate. Meanwhile, according to local sources, other incoming flights to Manchester airport have also been directed to nearby cities.
The cold weather has also closed dozens of schools in Wales. The BBC news channel reported that 65 schools were closed due to the frost and the police advised the people of this area to avoid driving in frozen areas.

The temperature in England has dropped since the beginning of this week due to the arrival of a low pressure system and the Met Office has issued several weather warnings. Last Monday, British police reported 56 traffic accidents within 24 hours.
The Department of Fire and Rescue in the Devon and Somerset region of England also announced that a double-decker bus overturned in this region, which was carrying 70 passengers. British news sources say that this incident happened as a result of an accident between a bus and a motorcycle.
