Moscow: Britain is planning a cyber-attack on Russian infrastructure

Pak Sahafat – The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia stated that Britain, under the leadership of NATO, is planning cyber-attack on critical infrastructure, especially the energy infrastructure of Russia.

According to the report of the International group of Pak Sahafat news agency, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Siromolotov stated yesterday (Saturday) that Britain is simulating and designing cyber-attacks on Moscow’s critical infrastructure.

The Russian network Rashatodi reported in this regard, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia stated in his latest statement that Britain is planning cyber-attacks on Russia’s critical infrastructure, and simulated hacking attacks include attacks on Russian energy facilities, which have been conducted under the direction and leadership of NATO.

Siromolotov further added that attempts to hack Russian government institutions by foreign agents “increased two to three times” in the past year.

He reacted to last month’s report by the “Times” newspaper of London, in which General Tom Coppinger-Symes, the deputy commander of the British Strategic Command, said that the National Cyber ​​Force is looking to recruit people with Russian credentials.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia told TASS news agency in this regard: Britain systematically uses its offensive capabilities to target Russian intelligence,” and London regularly holds military exercises, including joint NATO exercises, that simulate attacks on “critical Russian infrastructure.

The Russian diplomat emphasized that Britain is constantly simulating attacks on government institutions in the Kaliningrad region and Moscow’s energy system.

According to this report, the Kaliningrad region is one of Russia’s territories in the Baltic Sea, which borders Poland and Lithuania.

Siromolotov went on to explain that last year, Russia was targeted by “unprecedented cyber-attacks from abroad,” most of which were directed against Russia by the United States and NATO members, as well as Ukraine.

According to Rashatodi’s report, on Wednesday last week, Cyber ​​attackers briefly hijacked a television signal in Russia’s Belgorod region and Crimea and broadcast an excerpt of a speech by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The Crimean authorities declared the intelligence service of Kiev responsible for this hacking attack.
