Kamala Harris: America insists on “permanent commitment” to maintain the security of the UAE

Pak Sahafat – US Vice President Kamala Harris, in a phone call with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed Zayed bin Al Nahyan, emphasized Washington’s “permanent commitment” to maintaining the security of this Arab country.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, quoted by the National newspaper, in this phone call on Wednesday, Haris “emphasized her country’s permanent commitment to the security of the UAE in the framework of friendship and security partnership.”

Harris also thanked the UAE in advance for hosting the United Nations Climate Change Conference known as Cop28.

According to National, the conference will be held next November and is an important opportunity for world leaders to show their commitment to the implementation of the goals they set at the 2015 climate summit in Paris.

Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies of the UAE, who presides over the Cop28 conference, said in a statement: We will take a realistic approach that can achieve transformative progress on the climate issue and economic growth based on carbon dioxide reduction.

John Kerry, the US representative on climate change issues, also said that he has “high expectations” from the UAE to put the energy issue at the center of discussions.
