Crisis in relations with Russia; A nightmare that Israel was fleeing from

Pak Sahafat: Something happened that Israel feared about Russia and the war in Ukraine.

According to the Pak Sahafat News agency, from the beginning of the crisis in Ukraine, the Zionist regime was one of the parties that was in a state of uncertainty and had one roof and two airs. The Zionists, while trying to keep the United States satisfied in this crisis, did not seek to inflame Russia and feared its consequences and negative effects on the occasion with Moscow.

Of course, it was clear from the beginning that the Zionists did not have the power to manage their position on the Ukraine crisis. In its first reaction to the start of Russian military operations on Ukrainian soil, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said that Russia’s attack on Ukraine was a serious violation of international order, and that Tel Aviv condemned the attack. Israel also expresses its support for international concerns about the situation in eastern Ukraine and the escalation of tensions in the region.

It was then that Dmitry Polyansky, Russia’s deputy ambassador to the United Nations, announced at a monthly meeting to review the Palestinian-Israeli conflict that Israel was an integral part of Syria and that Moscow does not recognize the Israeli rule on Syrian Golan Heights.

For this reason, Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, pretended to be neutral in the Ukraine crisis and called for a peaceful solution. The Zionists even tried to offer mediation in the Ukraine crisis by fishing in muddy waters. But Russian leaders ignored Tel Aviv’s offer.

Recently, the Israeli Foreign Ministry, which had repeatedly condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, supported the cancellation of Russia’s membership in the UN Human Rights Council. This sparked Russian anger and strained relations between Moscow and Tel Aviv.

The Zionist media widely covered the diplomatic tensions between Moscow and Tel Aviv, describing the Russian Foreign Ministry statement as exceptional.

In this regard, the Israeli network “Kun” referred to a part of the statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry, which read: Yair Lapid’s remarks are nothing more than an attempt to divert the international community’s attention from the Palestinian conflict, which is one of the world’s longest-running conflicts. Israel continues to occupy Palestinian lands illegally and is gradually annexing Palestinian territories to its sovereignty. There are now two million Palestinian refugees living in different parts of the world. The Gaza Strip is now an open prison where residents have been living for 14 years under harsh conditions imposed on them by sea, land and air.

The media described Russia’s statement against Israel as an undiplomatic attack. In addition to that statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that Western countries and the United States had renounced the continuation of the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

Moscow’s unprecedented attack on Tel Aviv comes at a time when the Russians previously often did not take a specific stance on Israeli aggression and occupation, and even remained silent during Israeli airstrikes on Syria, But now that Russia has openly accused the regime of crimes and occupation of Palestinian territory in criticizing Israeli policies, it means that a new and critical phase in relations between Moscow and Tel Aviv has begun.
