The debate over Biden’s impeachment has intensified in American political and social circles, with whispers already being heard that the Republican Party, especially the House of Representatives, will win the November midterm elections.

A recent poll by the University of Massachusetts Amherst shows that more than two-thirds of Republicans say President Joe Biden should be impeached if he wins a majority in the House of Representatives in the midterm elections.

The University of Massachusetts Amherst news website writes about this poll: Of the 1,000 respondents to the poll, 68 percent of Republicans and Trump voters, as well as 66 percent of Conservatives, want Joe Biden to be charged by Congress with treason, bribery, or other crimes that meet the criteria set out in the White House Constitution.

Commenting on the results of the poll, Tatishe Nteta, director of Amherst University, said: “The decision to impeach a president is used as a last resort for a president who violates or transcends the boundaries of law, values ​​and ethics.

Biden’s popularity reached at its lowest point

The US Department of Labor announced inflation in April (last month) at 8.3 percent, which is still the highest level in 40 years. Inflation was 8.5 percent in March.

Supply chain problems, the Ukraine war, and high consumer demand have kept commodity prices in the United States at their highest level in 40 years.

A new poll by the Associated Press Public Research Center also shows that US President Joe Biden’s popularity has fallen to its lowest level this month (May) and is the most pessimistic of Biden’s performance among Democrats.

According to the new poll, only 39 percent of Americans approve of Biden’s performance as president, which is lower than his level of popularity compared to last month. Overall, only 2 out of 10 Americans believe the United States is on the right track or that the economy is good, up from 3 in 10 last month.

Meanwhile, Biden’s satisfaction with the Democrats has risen to 73%, a significant drop from his early presidency, according to the Associated Press in a 2021 poll of Biden popularity among Democrats.

The findings show widespread dissatisfaction in a country struggling with a range of challenges, including inflation, armed violence, a sudden shortage of milk powder, and a persistent epidemic that has left the president incapacitated.
