Atwan: Al-Aqsa Intifada extends to Jaffa and Haifa, marking the collapse of Israel

A prominent Arab political analyst described the current events in occupied Palestine as a “historic event” and said that these events were a countdown to the collapse of the Zionist regime.

Abdul Bari Atwan, editor of the online newspaper Rai Al-Youm and a well-known political analyst in the Arab world, described the current conflict in the Gaza Strip with the Zionist regime and the start of civil strife in several occupied Palestinian cities as a “historic event.”

Referring to the street clashes between the Arabs of Occupied Palestine with the Zionists and the Zionist settlers in cities such as Jaffa, Haifa, and the birthplace of George Habash, Atwan wrote that turning the streets of these cities into a square of confrontation with the settlers is a historic event. It shows the collapse of Israel.

Referring to the missile response of resistance groups from Gaza to various cities in occupied Palestine, the Palestinian-born analyst continued: These are the events of the missile intifada that ended the category of Israeli deterrence and the false myth of the Iron Domes. What will come next is greater [and worse].

Tensions between Palestinians and Zionists escalated after the Zionist regime sought to implement the decision to evacuate the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem, which was met with protests from residents and other Palestinians in Jerusalem, especially in Al-Aqsa Mosque. After the siege of a number of protesting worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque, resistance groups in the Gaza Strip announced a new equation called “Connecting Gaza to Jerusalem”, saying that the Zionist regime should end the evacuation of Sheikh Jarrah and the siege of Palestinians in the mosque.

Following the Zionist regime’s refusal to do so, resistance groups fired rockets and rockets at various cities in occupied Palestine. The Zionist regime has so far ended the siege of the mosque, so that today, on Eid al-Fitr, tens of thousands of Palestinians offered Eid prayers in support of Gaza, and the evacuation order of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood has been postponed.
