Iraqi lawyer: understanding between Iran and Saudi Arabia curbs the violence of Takfiri groups

Pak Sahafat – An international law expert tells reporter in Baghdad that the whole region, including Iraq, Syria and Yemen, pays for the extremism of groups such as Al-Qaeda, ISIS and Al-Nusra. Therefore, understanding between Iran and Saudi Arabia can help curb the violence of Takfiri movements.

Dr. “Manal Finjan” points out and clarifies the role of Iraq in bringing the views of Tehran and Riyadh closer together: We welcome this agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia. Iran has always shown its intention and willingness to reach an understanding with Saudi Arabia, and Iraq played an essential role in this context with 5 rounds of talks. The reopening of diplomatic missions between Iran and Saudi Arabia is an important step that will have an impact on the reality of the Islamic world.

Manal Fanjan says: We do not forget that Saudi Arabia as the land of the holy places of Mecca and Medina, has a great influence on the spirit of Muslims, and likewise, Iran is an influential Islamic country and has a strong reputation. This agreement between the two major Islamic poles will have a positive impact on the entire region and any rapprochement between these Islamic countries will have an effect on other levels of cooperation such as economic, cultural, political and social relations, scientific and stability for the entire region.

The Iraqi international law expert emphasizes: The entire region, including Iraq, Syria and Yemen, paid and continue to pay for the extremist actions of groups such as Al-Qaeda, ISIS and Al-Nusra. Therefore, rapprochement and understanding between the countries of the region, especially the two Islamic poles of Iran and Saudi Arabia, can end conflicts and extremism, and this is an important point.
