Increasing concerns about the fate of imprisoned activists in Saudi Arabia

Pak Sahafat – In its latest report, the “Sanad” human rights organization announced the increase in concerns about the fate of political, ideological and human rights activists imprisoned in the prisons of the Saudi regime.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report, the human rights organization “Sand” has stated in its latest report about the dire situation of human rights in Saudi Arabia: civil and human rights activists and influential figures in society and those who express their opinions in Saudi Arabia feel insecure.

This organization added in its report that at the same time as the Saudi regime insists on pursuing activists, arresting and persecuting them and distorting and misrepresenting the facts, concerns about the fate of activists in this country have increased.

This organization announced that five years ago, when “Mohammed bin Salman” assumed the position of crown prince, the situation of civil rights and people’s freedoms in Saudi Arabia deteriorated significantly due to arbitrary arrests and deliberate abuses.

“Sanad” organization, quoting human rights sources, revealed that “Ibrahim Al-Asan” (Abuljin) from Saudi activists was illegally and arbitrarily arrested and imprisoned by the Al Saud authorities without giving any reason.

Also, “Abed bin Nasser Al-Mashal”, one of the Saudi business activists, has been sentenced to 17 years in prison by the country’s judiciary on false charges.

According to “Sanad”, the Bin Salman regime continues to suppress civil, legal and social activists and religious scholars by continuously reducing rights and freedom of expression and ignoring law and justice.

This human rights organization asked the relevant government institutions in Saudi Arabia to respect the rights of citizens and freedom of speech and to prevent arbitrary arrests and release prisoners of conscience in order to establish the principle of justice.

“Sanad” warned against further international isolation of Saudi Arabia due to repression and violation of the law and called on the ruling regime of Saudi Arabia to reconsider its policies of repression that threaten the country.

Earlier, “Mohammed Al-Omari”, the director of the Media Center of the Arabian Peninsula, described the situation of human rights and freedom of speech in Saudi Arabia as very pathetic and said: “Saudi Arabia’s situation is an exception among the countries of the world, and its citizens are outside the scope of human definitions and are located in Islam.

The Committee for the Defense of Human Rights in the Arabian Peninsula also described Saudi Arabia as a “country of terror and execution” and warned about a new wave of massacres in this country, especially against political prisoners and civil and human rights activists.

After the Riyadh Criminal Court increased the issuance of death sentences against Saudi citizens, from political prisoners to activists and demonstrators, this committee examined the dangerous human and human rights situation in Saudi Arabia in a statement.

This committee pointed out that the court has issued death sentences to a group of citizens for trying to use their right to express their opinions through social networks or by participating in peaceful marches for freedom, justice and social equality.
