Hostilities that did not benefit Saudi Arabia

Pak Sahafat – Looking at the 12-year war in Syria and the actions of Takfiri terrorist groups supported by the Western-Arab-Zionist front, it is clear that a number of Arab countries have supported terrorist groups in this country, the most important of which is Saudi Arabia.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report, With the beginning of the Syrian crisis in March of the year (2011) and turning it into an international war against the people of this country, countries such as the United States, England, France, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates along with the Zionist regime opened up to this war and became companions and supporters of terrorists in this crisis, which turned into an international war after some time.

Although the UAE pulled out of the Syrian crisis and supported terrorists after about a year, and even reopened its embassy in Damascus on January 6, 2017, the two countries of Saudi Arabia and Qatar still continue to support the terrorists fighting in Syria.

Considering the change in some conditions in the region and the whispers of the possible establishment of relations between Ankara and Damascus, some Arab countries have probably corrected their past path and stopped supporting terrorists and followed the path of restoring relations with Damascus.

According to this newspaper, Saudi Foreign Minister “Faisal bin Farhan” recently met with “Gir Pedersen”, the representative of the United Nations in Syria and talked about the political process in Syria. In this context, he informed and said that this requires more measures.

It should be said that the recent visit of the UAE Foreign Minister to Damascus is aimed at resuming Arab relations with Syria and creating a political opening in the relations between Damascus and the Arab world, which began with the beginning of the Syrian crisis in March 2009 and the support of some Arab countries to terrorists.

Saudi Arabia’s moves to play a role in Syria and escape from the swamp of war with Yemen

In this regard, not long ago “Hossam Luqa”, the head of the Syrian intelligence agency, visited Riyadh and met with the officials of this country.

Some sources have stated that the political indicators recently published by the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf, regarding issues such as the war in Ukraine and the relationship with China, show that these countries have adopted different policies towards the United States regarding regional issues. These countries have adopted policies in the first place in line with their political interests and in the second place to establish good relations with Damascus, which is probably one of the priorities of the interests of these countries. The re-establishment of relations between Abu Dhabi and Damascus, as well as Ankara’s efforts to establish relations with Damascus, are also evaluated in the same direction.

Of course, it should be said that America has publicly stated its opposition to the establishment of relations between Riyadh and Ankara with Damascus.

“Derek Schulte”, the advisor of the US State Department, has clearly stated that Washington is against the normalization of relations between Saudi Arabia and Syria, but it is known that Riyadh does not pay attention to the requests of the US, as in the case of China and Ukraine.

Obviously, due to Ankara’s efforts to normalize relations with Damascus, Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia are worried about any possible developments in Syria-Turkey relations, and they do not want to stay away from this process.

Certainly, the proximity of the countries of the region to each other and avoiding conflict and war is the best option for the region, an option that some Arab countries and Turkey did the opposite of in Syria in recent years.

Now we have to wait and see in the coming days and months what will be the outcome of the dispute between Arab countries and Turkey with Syria and will they really return from the path of the past 12 years or not?
